This looks so good! I’m definitely gonna try this! Thanks for sharing this.
@nsofast Remember! this is vegan, no butter allowed
You didn’t give portions to make this recipe
I make the same receipe except I use a can of peas and a can of french style string beans. pureed. It makes for an excellent base. Everything else is excatly the same.
I donot use the agave or the marsala. It looks just like chopped liver and everyone loves it.
Made this today and changed just a couple things. One its better to add the marsala during the caramelization, and add a little extra. This sweetens without the agave. Also butter is way better for caramelizing than olive oil.
really tasty, next time I will use port or sherry
thanks!
Fresh mushrooms are great for making a mock pate. They have the perfect texture and are just as flavourful… not to mention healthy!
Mushrooms are little balls of happy.
OMG I just made your mock liver pate – I thought I’d died and gone to heaven. No kidding!! It was sooo friggin’ good. I omitted the agave and the marsala. Didn’t want it sweet and not a big fan of alcohol. Only used mushrooms, onions, nutritional yeast, walnuts, and garlic with salt and pepper to taste. Kept it real simple. I was so impressed – thank you very much for motivating and inspiring me to do this. I will make this often – I know that for sure
Wow – I’ve been dying for a vegan pate forever and I found this vid just now!!! It looks so easy – I’m embarrassed I didn’t experiment before, but I only knew of the onions and mushrooms. Thanks so much for posting your video and I will definitely try it tonite.
I am wondering if one can put the Marsala in while the mushrooms and onions are cooking. Will it change the flavor of the pate or would it enhance it more?
ikh tsunoyfshteln dos far ovntbroyt.!!
I just tasted it … GESHMAK.

A dank (thanks).
@elimonjal If you don’t have any, add like a teaspoon of sugar while you’re caramelizing the mushrooms and onions, near the end. Yum!
This is so good.
I love the way u present it’s sexy
I’m gonna try it out cose I love onions got a ful fridge of them best: raw
good basic (and ubiquitous) recipe. proposed drinking game: one shot for every times she says the word “caramelize.”
The recipe I used has green beans instead of mushrooms. It might be interesting to try this version and then one with half mushrooms half green beans.

Gonna try this with pecans. ( walnuts = deadly for me) mushrooms and onions it has to be good. At least my kids would say that lol.
Thanks!!
I tried this last night and it is AWESOME!
EntFan1 Give your body 3 weeks and it will stop craving cheese, it’s just a habit, like anything, you just need to create a NEW habit and this pate looks awesome indeed as a spread.. There’s lots of great vegan recipes around, it’s an amazing journey, you’ll feel lighter in every way
Good on you for trying.
that looks sooo good. i think i’m going to have to make it. im trying out to be a vegan for health reasons. I want this to stick. So far a whole two days without eating dairy or eggs. I don’t eat that much anyway so it’s not a big deal. I love cheese but when it comes down to it, it’s just creamy salty stuff.
obviously, it’s faux gras….lol
Looks amazing. Can’t wait to try it!!!
