LearnTV LED TVs and LCD backlighting
What’s an LED TV? Can you save money simply by buying the right TV? LCD TV backlighting is a complex subject, and the marketing of different TVs to make them stand out on at your local electronics store is often designed to confuse you further! In this episode we look at LCD backlighting from the CCFL to the RGB-LED and explain what to look for… and what you should be spending your money on!

@sonylearntv Hello sir, excellent job here. so i got the 46ex720, now i’m pretty sure the only difference is the 3D on this tv from what your describing but, It says i have the motion flow 240. Is that so in 3D mode i still can get 120 each eye? ty sir again very good job…

This would be a nice video if it weren’t so self promoting. I’m only looking to learn about how LCDs, LEDs, Plasmas, DLPs, and OLED’s work without Sony showing how they think their color, brightness, sharpness and everything else is better than “conventional”.
i used a magnifier, magnify the dots of a LCD panel and found out that the dots are made of “red, green and blue” just like older tv sets. yeah, and i think that if they use real LED(make it VERY small) instead of LED back-lighting, it will be VERY expensive.
are rgb backlit better than plasmas and how better are edge led than normal lcds?
Very informative… Clearly explaa
